Time Sensitive Content
Stale website content is one of the worst turn-offs when viewing a website. A sure way to convince a viewer that you are not a progressive up-and-coming company is to have stale dated content.
Every piece of content created with Hoolahoop CMS is time and date sensitive. Use Hoolahoop's time sensitivity controls to ensure your website doesn't fall into this trap, and to cut down on your website administration duties.
Features:
-
Date Sensitivity - by default, content will be set to display indefinitely. To override the default setting simply choose the start date and end date for the display of that particular piece of content using simple dropdown menus. This provides the ability to work ahead. Content can be entered at any time and not be displayed until the date set. Also, once content has passed its date of validity, you never have to remember to manually remove it from the website.
-
Time Sensitivity - in addition to setting the dates for content to be displayed, the time of day that is appears and is removed are also controlled through Hoolahoop.
-
Content is not physically removed from the database. Upon reaching the expiry date and time, the content is no longer displayed in the front end of the website, but is still acccessible in the Administration Control panel should it need to be edited and re-activated.
An example of the power of this feature is as follows: Your company wants to run a limited time web promotion. The promo can be added a week in advance, set to display one day next week, and only be available to viewers from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. At 5:00pm it will be removed from the website, but can still be accessed and the timeframe edited for re-use at another time.
