HOOLAHOOP CMS™ may be deployed in both a Unix and Windows environment.  Hoolahoop is written using the very stable programming language - PHP.  Very large companies such as NASA, McAfee, Boeing, Disney, and more have very successfully used PHP for a myriad of applications. Hoolahoop's back end database environment uses MySQL or MSSQL depending on your hosting platform. 

PHP and MySQL were choosen so as to be a cost effective solution for small and medium businesses.  Both are open source programs and are not subject to expensive ongoing license fees for server installation.
